DePauw Men Drop 7-2 Decision to 28th-ranked Chicago

Burr Ridge, Ill. - DePauw won two of the three doubles matches against 28th-ranked Chicago, but the Tigers lost all six singles matches with three going three sets as the Maroons took a 7-2 win. DePauw dropped to 4-2, while Chicago improved to 5-4.

Ben Kopecky and Sam Miles topped Ankur Bhargava and Deepak Sabada at first doubles 8-5, while Eric Vannatta and Alec Kaczkowski defeated Gordon Zhang and Max Hawkins, 8-6, at the second spot.

In the three singles matches that went to a third set, the Tigers won the first set in each, but the Maroons battled all the way back and those were the difference in the match.

DePauw hosts Rose-Hulman at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 15, before entertaining Wittenberg the next morning at 10 in a North Coast Athletic Conference West Division match.
