Tigers Close Out NCAC Slate With 22-2 Loss Against Wittenberg

Greencastle, Ind. – The DePauw men's lacrosse team finished up their North Coast Athletic Conference schedule with a 22-2 loss at the hands of Wittenberg on Tuesday, April 23, on Boswell Field in Greencastle, Ind.

DePauw closes out their inaugural conference season with a 0-7 record, sporting a 0-13 record with one game left on the 2013 docket. Wittenberg moves to 8-5 overall and 3-4 in conference play.

Josh Han scored the first goal of his collegiate career while Sam Johnson moved into a tie for the team lead in goals with a tally in the game. Michael Strader picked up the lone DePauw assist in the match.

Wittenberg's Andrew Fuss registered six points in the match, five of which came from goals.

JR Strubbe, DePauw's goalie, stopped 11 shots en route to being saddled with the loss. Wittenberg's keeper, Jesse Langer notched four saves, allowing just two goals on his way to picking up the victory in net.

DePauw finishes their inaugural season on Saturday, May 4, as they welcome Olivet to Boswell Field for a non-conference tussle. The match is slated to begin at 1 p.m. (ET).
