Greencastle, Ind. - The 16th-ranked men's tennis team opened the spring portion of its schedule with a split at the DePauw Indoor Tennis and Track Center. The Tigers blanked Taylor by a 9-0 score in the morning match and lost to 19th-ranked Case Western Reserve University in the evening. DePauw is now 2-1 on the season.
Against Taylor, the Tigers won five of the six singles matches in straight sets and lost just six points in doubles.
After dropping all three doubles matches against Case Western, DePauw won at second, third and sixth singles while dropping three-set matches at first and fourth singles.
DePauw returns to action on Saturday, February 25, when it hosts 17th-ranked Carnegie Mellon at 8 a.m. and Luther at 4 p.m.
