March 25, 2009, Hilton Head Island, S.C. — The 18th-ranked Tigers improved to 10-1 following a 6-3 win over 24th-ranked University of Chicago. Chicago dropped to 6-6.
DePauw headed into singles play with a 2-1 lead after Scott Swanson and Hunter Schouweiler won at the number two spot by a 9-8 (7-5) score and the third doubles team of Scott Sandager and Bryan Heck also won, 8-4.
Sandager, Schouweiler, Will Gates and Evan Hunter then claimed wins at second, fourth, five and sixth singles, respectively.
DePauw wraps up its play on Hilton Head Island on Thursday with a match against 21st-ranked Whitman.
