April 27, 2008, Greencastle, Ind. - The 19th-ranked Tigers edged top-ranked Trinity, 5-4, and captured their second straight Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference title. With the win, DePauw improved to 18-6 on the season and earned the conference's automatic qualification into the NCAA Division III Championship. Trinity dropped to 19-6 with the loss.
Trinity took a 2-1 lead after winning first and third doubles, but the Tigers picked up straight set wins at third through sixth singles for the win.
Pairings for the NCAA Championships will be announced on Monday.
