May 15, 2007, St. Louis, Mo. - DePauw's season came to an end at the NCAA Division III quarterfinals as the eighth-ranked Tigers dropped a 5-2 decision to third-ranked Middlebury.
DePauw finished its season with a school-record 22 wins against just five losses, while Middlebury advanced to the semifinals with a 21-1 mark.
The Panthers extended the lead to 4-2 after Marinkovic defeated
Ryan Dodd by a 6-2, 6-2 score at number six and Thompson beat
Scott Sauer 7-6, 6-2 at number five.
DePauw's lone singles win came at the number one spot where Webeler defeated Schott 7-5, 6-2, but Middlebury's Olson clinched the match at number two with a 6-3, 6-4 victory over Keith.
Webeler represents DePauw in the Division III Singles Championship which begins on Friday and joins
Scott Swanson in the doubles tournament.
