| By:

Crawfordsville, Ind. - The DePauw men's swimming and diving team delivered a commanding performance Friday night, powering past Wabash 193-106 in a dual meet.

The Tigers opened the evening with a statement in the 200-yard medley relay, securing the top two spots. DePauw's "A" quartet of Brady Hinshaw, Tyler Farkas, Daniel Schwendinger, and James Anderson set the tone with a winning 1:34.43, while the "B" relay followed close behind in 1:37.22 to give DPU an early advantage.

Distance freestyle continued to build momentum, as freshman Andrew Thompson battled to a strong second-place finish in the 1000 free (10:07.46), with senior Alexander Bridgmohan right behind in third (10:30.45). The Tigers carried that surge directly into the sprint events, where DePauw swept the top five spots in the 50 free - leading the way in 21.49, followed by a wave of Tigers securing critical early points.

DePauw's rookies shined on the boards, with freshmen Brodie Morken and Cale Bennett delivering a dominant 1-2 finish in both the one-meter and three-meter diving events, showcasing the Tigers' growing strength in diving.

In the pool, the Tigers continued to stack strong performances. Schwendinger captured the 200 fly in 1:58.73, while Farkas controlled both breaststroke events - winning the 100 in 58.02 and the 200 in 2:11.78. James Anderson claimed the 100 free in 48.01, narrowly out-touching Schwendinger, while Hinshaw returned later to win the 100 fly in 51.91 as DePauw consistently occupied multiple top positions across the lineup.

DePauw closed the night in decisive fashion, sweeping all three heats of the 400-yard freestyle relay. The "A" team of Farkas, Anderson, Sam Wolfe, and Hinshaw stopped the clock at 3:16.42 to seal the victory, followed by strong showings from the "B" and "C" relays to round out a complete team effort.

With their dual-meet victory secured, the Tigers now shift their focus to their winter training trip down to Florida before traveling to Lewis for another dual-meet on January 10th, at 12 p.m. CST.
