Granville, Ohio - DePauw finished fourth at the North Coast Athletic Conference Championships, totaling 1,095 points (adding 379 points) and is fourth among the nine competing schools. Denison won with 1,958.5 points, followed by Kenyon (1,741.5), and John Carroll (1,192.5).
Tigers tallied 1,008 points in the pool and 87 on the boards on day three. Points from diving helped push DePauw ahead of Wabash. The Tigers advanced from a 6th place finish the previous year, adding 127.5 points from last years total.
Leading the way was Saturday's 1650-yard freestyle with Andrew Thompson (16:14.95) leading the Tigers in 11th place for 19 points. Tigers collected 49 points on the first event of the day.
Brady Hinshaw claimed 4th in the following event, the 100-yard individual medley, swimming a 52.00 and contributing 29 points to the 60 gained in the event.
Switching to backstroke, Will Delio (1:58.86) and Alexander Bridgmohan (2:01.17) collected 16 points for the men.
Continuing with sprint events, Sam Wolfe claimed 10th in the 100-yard freestyle to collect 22 points, 46 points for the Tigers overall.
Tyler Farkas finished 10th in the 200-yard breaststroke to collect 22 points, Tigers claimed 64 in the event.
Moving on to the 200-yard butterfly, Daniel Schwendinger took 7th for 26 points, 76 to add to the team total.
Finishing with the 400-yard freestyle relay, the Tigers A-team featured Sam Wolfe, Daniel Schwendinger, Tyler Farkas, and Brady Hinshaw to claim 3rd in 3:05.46, collecting 60 points.
The Tigers will look towards the Kenyon College Fast Chance Invitational, starting Friday, February 20th in Gambier, Ohio.
