Farkas, Wolfe, Stutzman, and Hinshaw Claim 4th in NCAC 200 Freestyle Relay

Granville, Ohio - Through the third full day of competition at the North Coast Athletic Conference Championships, DePauw has totaled 716 points (adding 366 points) and is fourth among the nine competing schools. Denison leads with 1,352.5 points, followed by Kenyon (1,193.5), and John Carroll (805.5).

Leading the way was Friday's 100-yard butterfly with George Kallas (52.18) and Eli Vanhaaren (52.86) collecting 10 points for the Tigers. 

Aaron Graff claimed 8th in the following event, the 400-yard individual medley, swimming a 4:07.91 and contributing 25 points to the 71 gained in the event. 

Heading into sprint events, Daniel Schwendinger swam a 1:42.48 in the 200-yard freestyle to claim 19 points for 11th place. Tigers tallied 43 points in the event. 

Tyler Farkas finished 11th in the 100-yard breaststroke to collect 19 points, 36 points for the Tigers overall. 

Switching to backstroke, Brady Hinshaw secured a ninth-place finish in the 100-yard backstroke for 24 points. The men recorded 83 points, their highest in a single event for the day. 

Cale Bennett and Evan Piercy tallied 39 points for the Tigers finishing 10th and 13th in the one-meter dive. 

Finishing with the 200-yard freestyle relay, the Tigers A-team featured Tyler Farkas, Sam Wolfe, Jeremy Stutzman, and Brady Hinshaw to claim 4th in 1:23.58, collecting 58 points.

Tigers tallied 327 points in the pool and 39 on the boards on day three. 

The NCAC Championships conclude tomorrow at Denison University.
