Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw tight end
Gabe Quigley (Sr., Carmel, Ind./Carmel) is one of 25 student-athletes selected to the first-ever Walter Camp Division III All-America Football Team.
Quigley is a consensus all-America honoree this season with previous selections coming from
D3football.com,
Associated Press and the
American Football Coaches Association.
Quigley caught 47 passes for 787 yards with 13 touchdowns. He topped the 100-yard plateau on two occasions including a
career-high 170 yards on eight catches at Kenyon in which he also tied a school record with four touchdown catches. In the
Monon Bell Game win over Wabash, he hauled in three for 157 yards with all three going for touchdowns including his season-long catch of 75 yards on the first play of the second half. He caught at least one pass in all 11 games in which he played and had at least three catches in nine contests. Quigley also rushed for 69 yards on 12 carries and threw a 17-yard touchdown pass in a
33-0 win at Berry.
The Tigers finished the season with an 11-1 record, a fourth straight North Coast Athletic Conference title and a fourth consecutive NCAA Division III postseason appearance. DePauw opened the postseason with a 45-20 win over Maryville (Tenn.) in the second round before falling in the third round to Johns Hopkins by a 14-9 score.
