Quigley Selected AFCA First Team All-America

Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw tight end Gabe Quigley (Sr., Carmel, Ind./Carmel) has been selected to the American Football Coaches Association First Team.

Through the Tigers' first 11 games, Quigley has caught 45 passes for 768 yards with 13 touchdowns. He's topped the 100-yard plateau on two occasions including a career-high 170 yards on eight catches at Kenyon in which he also tied a school record with four touchdown catches. In the Monon Bell Game win over Wabash, he hauled in three for 157 yards with all three going for touchdowns including his season-long catch of 75 yards on the first play of the second half. He's caught at least one pass in all 10 games in which he's played and had at least three catches in nine contest. 

Quigley, a first team all-North Coast Athletic Conference selection, also rushed for 74 yards on 11 carries and threw a 17-yard touchdown pass in a 33-0 win at Berry.

He is DePauw's first AFCA all-America selection since Alex Koors earned the distinction in 2010.

The Tigers are 11-0 for the first time in program history and host Johns Hopkins on Saturday, Dec. 7, in an NCAA Championship Third-Round game. Kickoff on Nick Mourouzis Field at Blackstock Stadium is 12:02 p.m. EST.
