Olivia Karwin and Grace Myers all-NCAC

Four Tigers Earn All-NCAC Volleyball Accolades; Karwin and Myers Earn Special Honors

Greencastle, Ind. - In voting by the conference's coaches, four DePauw student-athletes have earned all-North Coast Athletic Conference Volleyball honors.

Olivia Karwin (Sr., Menifee, Calif./Paloma Valley) and Grace Myers (Jr., New Palestine, Ind./New Palestine) were not only selected to the first team, but also earned the conference's top awards. 

Karwin a setter/opposite for the Tigers, was voted the NCAC Player of the Year and the Setter of the Year after helping the Tigers to a 5-2 conference record and a third-place finish. She is DePauw's third NCAC Player of the Year and first since Morgan Stearley earned the distinction in 2019. Karwin finished conference play with a .248 hitting percentage and 66 kills (2.54/set) and also totaled 141 assists, 10 aces, 73 digs and seven blocks. Karwin was a first team selection in 2022 and second team last year and recorded double-doubles in four matches overall including two in conference play.

Myers was named the Defensive Player of the Year after earning the league's Libero of the Year award and first team honors in 2023. The defensive specialist finished the conference regular season ranked second in the conference in digs with 5.65 per set including 15 or more in every league contest. She had a career-high 30 against Ohio Wesleyan on Oct. 29. Myers also recorded the second-most service aces in conference action with 17 (0.65/set).

Kaiden Harrington (So., Ellettsville, Ind./Edgewood) and Ashley Haas (Sr., San Clemente, Calif./San Clemente) were second team choices. Harrington, an opposite who earned third team honors last year, hit .276 in conference matches this year with 2.5 kills/set. 

Haas, a middle hitter, was an honorable mention selection in 2023, hit .266 in DePauw's 26 conference sets and was eighth in blocks at 0.65 per set.

The Tigers finished the season with a 17-12 record and advanced to the NCAC Tournament semifinals.
