Alliance, Ohio - In a match that included 26 ties and 10 lead changes, DePauw dropped to 3-1 on the season after 20th-ranked Carnegie Mellon blanked the Tigers by a 3-0 (25-22, 25-22, 25-18) score. The Tartans improved to 4-0 with the win.
Jen Proeh led the Tigers with eight kills, while
Julia McWaters paced the squad with 15 assists and
Logan Walters added 13.
Allie Landry had the team's only ace with Proeh,
Kaiden Harrington and Madeline Ozsersky each totaling two blocks.
Sophia Leonardi recorded a team-high 13 digs.
Kate Giang led Carnegie Mellon with 13 kills with Neha Tummala recording 21 assists. Dani Lee paced the Tartans with three aces, while Caroline Smith finished with three blocks and Zoe Gavros had 21 digs.
Carnegie Mellon outhit DePauw .195-.164 and held a 42-36 edge in kills. The Tartans also led in aces, 7-1, blocks, 7-5, and digs, 50-44.
The Tigers return to action on Sept. 11-12 when they host the
DePauw Invitational.
