Alliance, Ohio - DePauw moved to 3-0 on the season after winning its opening two matches at the Mount Union Invitational. The Tigers blanked Marietta 3-0 (25-23, 26-24, 25-22) and then came back to top the host Purple Raiders by a 3-2 score (17-25, 25-22, 23-25, 25-18, 15-11).
In the Marietta match,
Madeline Ozersky paced DePauw with 11 kills, while
Julia McWaters totaled 21 assists and
Logan Walters had 12.
Allie Landry led the Tigers with four aces, while
Addison Hooker had 15 digs and
Jen Proeh eight blocks.
Emily Piehler led Marietta with 11 kills with Jayden Austermiller totaling 17 assists. Karly Launder had a team-high two aces with Karley Allwood leading the defense with six blocks and Kamryn Hayney totaling 14 digs.
DePauw outhit Marietta, .158-.130 with the Pioneers holding a 40-39 edge in kills. The Tigers led in aces, 7-4, and held a 59-47 lead in digs.
The Tigers fell behind twice against Mount Union, but won the fourth and fifth sets for the match win.

Sophie Chilton finished with 12 kills apiece and
Kaiden Harrington added 11. McWaters paced DePauw with 29 assists and three aces.
Sophia Leonardi had a team-high 19 digs with Proeh totaling seven blocks.
Zoe Sweigart led the Purple Raiders with 17 kills with Anna Mihacevich totaling 30 assists and one ace. Cami Welty had six blocks and Averi Haley finished with 21 digs.
Mount Union outhit DePauw, .263-.235 and held a 66-65 lead in kills. The Tigers led in aces, 8-1, with Mount Union holding a 10-8 advantage in blocks and 84-78 in digs.
The Tigers wrap up tournament play on Saturday with a 12 p.m. match against 20th-ranked Carnegie Mellon.
