Box Score Greencastle, Ind.- The DePauw men's tennis team swept the Fightin' Engineers of Rose-Hulman 9-0 at home. The Tigers improve to 4-5 overall, while the Fightin' Engineers drop to 5-5 for the season.
Earning its second doubles sweep this week, the Tigers jumped to an early 3-0 lead over the Fightin' Engineers. Cole Metzger and Hudson Mosher defeated Grant Paradowski and Andrew Leonard 8-2 on court two, and Finley Buelte and Jake Watson beat Renato Prado and Ryan Burch on court three 8-2. Thomas Partridge and Ryan McCook completed the sweep after defeating Rhian Seneviratne and Owen Reynolds in an 8-6 battle on court one.
In singles play, Metzger kicked off a singles sweep of the Fightin' Engineers after beating Cameron Watson 6-1, 6-0 on court five. On court six, Grayson Zylstra defeated Jonathon Stadler 6-1, 6-0 to clinch the Tiger victory, and on court four, Jake Louiselle beat Corey Pollard, 6-0, 6-1. Buelte defeated Rose-Hulman's Paradowski 6-1, 6-1 on court two, and McCook beat Leonard 6-4, 6-2 on court three. The final win for DePauw was Partridge on court one, who defeated Reynolds 7-5, 6-2.
DePauw's next matchup is in Wooster, Ohio, on Sunday, April 2. The Tigers and the Fighting Scots are set to play at 12 p.m. EDT.
