Gambier, Ohio - On a day that included school records and NCAA "B" cuts the Tigers moved to fourth place with 417 points at the Total Performance Invitational. University of Pennsylvania leads with 1,426 followed by Kenyon with 1,341 and Johns Hopkins with 484.
The Tigers' 200-yard freestyle relay of Casey Hooker, Alex Alfonso, Brandon Sholtis and Blake Lehmann led off the evening with a third-place showing in an NCAA "B" cut time 1:21.66.
Hooker then finished fifth in the 200 butterfly in 1:50.73 after swimming a school-record 1:48.87 in the prelims. Both swims made the "B" cut.
In the 200 free, Stephen McMurtry made a "B" cut with a 14th place showing in 1:41.04, while Mitchell Davis and Samuel McManus did the same in the 100 breaststroke in 58.36 and 57.27, respectively. Alex Grissom also made the cut in the 200 free prelims in 1:40.23.
Chris Ercoli set the 100 backstroke school record with a "B" time of 50.61 to finish 12th and Lehmann was fourth in the 50 free in a "B" time of 20.51.
Two of DePauw's 400 medley relays finished in the top eight and made "B" cuts and Lehmann's leadoff 100 back time of 50.39 broke the record Ercoli set just minutes before.
Eric Addy was second on the three-meter board with a score of 381.75.
