Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw junior midfielder
Julian Bell (Carmel, IN/Brebeuf Jesuit) has been selected North Coast Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Athlete of the Week for his performances in DePauw's two contests last week.
Bell helped propel the Tigers to a 2-0 week with wins over Rose-Hulman (2-1) and WashU (1-0). The junior scored two of DePauw's three goals across the two games, putting both of his shots on goal in 133 minutes of action. Bell scored the game-tying goal against the Fighting Engineers off an assist from junior defender
Harrison Engel. The two juniors connected again in the win over the Bears, with Bell netting the game-winning goal off an Engel assist.
Julian leads the team with three goals and one assists on the season, tallying seven points so far in his six starts. The junior midfielder is tied for first in the conference for game-winning goals with two in six games, .333 per game.
The 5-1 Tigers host Otterbein for a non-conference match up at 7:00 p.m today in Greencastle at Reavis Stadium.
