Greencastle, Ind. - In voting by the conference's coaches, six DePauw student-athletes have been selected to the all-North Coast Athletic Conference team with one individual and the coaching staff recognized with top honors.
DePauw shortstop
Max Bond (Jr., Zionsville, Ind./Zionsville) has been selected as the conference's Gold Glove Award recipient after posting a .969 fielding percentage with an NCAC-high 130 assists. He was part of 25 double plays which ranks third in the conference and part of a defense that ranks fifth in Division III in double plays per game.

Ryne Foster were named the staff of the year after leading the Tigers to a 28-13 regular season including 11-3 in conference play for a third-place finish. The Tigers had improved upon last year's 12-26 overall record, a 3-12 conference mark and an eighth-place finish. This marks the second season for both Niespodziany and Foster in their current roles.
Bond was one of three Tigers to earn first team all-NCAC honors as he hit .331 prior to the NCAC Tournament with eight homers and 45 runs batted in along with 44 runs scored and 13 doubles. His .455 on-base percentage included a team-high 34 walks. Joining Bond on the first team are third baseman
Grady Johnson (Jr., Lexington, Ky./Sayre) and outfielder
Aidan Howard (Portland, Ore./Tualitin). Johnson, who earned third team accolades each of the last two seasons, hit .417 prior to the NCAC Tournament with eight homers and 50 RBI with 33 runs and 13 doubles and a .669 slugging percentage. Howard hit .399 with five homers and 40 RBI with 46 runs, 14 doubles and 10 stolen bases.Â
Pitcher
Justin Benes (Jr., Libertyville, Ill./Libertyville) earned second team distinction after posting a 5-2 record with a 4.18 earned run average prior to the conference tournament. He struck out 48 in 56.0 innings with one complete game.
Catcher
Bryson Dorsey (So., Westfield, Ind./Guerin Catholic) and pitcher
Charlie Hawk (Sr., Indianapolis, Ind./Lawrence Central) were selected to the third team. Dorsey hit .339 with two homers, 24 runs batted in and 28 runs scored, while throwing out 12 runners from behind the plate. Hawk came out of the bullpen to post a 3-0 record with two saves and 17 strikeouts in 21 2/3 innings.
DePauw finished third at last week's NCAC Tournament and
earned an at-large berth in the NCAA Division III Championship. The Tigers open postseason play tomorrow with a 2:30 p.m. game at Adrian.Â
