Box Score Davenport, Fla. - DePauw wrapped up its Florida trip against 16th-ranked Wisconsin-La Crosse and fell to the Eagles by a 13-2 score in seven innings. The Tigers dropped to 6-12, while the Eagles improved to 6-2.
The Eagles scored five of the first six innings before DePauw reached the board with two in the bottom of the sixth.
Wisconsin-La Crosse scored one in the first and four in the third for a 5-0 lead. The Eagles added one in the fourth, sixth in the fifth and one in the sixth.
DePauw's lone runs came in the bottom of the sixth as
Max Bond and
Tyler Walkey singled before
Grady Johnson reached on an error that scored Bond.
Nate Hulen doubled home Johnson.
Bond had two of DePauw's six hits, while five different Eagles each had two of their 16 hits.
Matt Ritter dropped to 0-1 with the loss, while AJ Curtis improved to 1-0
DePauw opens North Coast Athletic Conference play on Saturday, March 29, with a Noon doubleheader against Wittenberg at Walker Field.
