Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw punter Buddy Gomez (Sr., Indianapolis, Ind./Cathedral) has been selected to the D3football.com Team of the Week for his performance in the Tigers' 41-20 Monon Bell game win at Wabash.

Gomez tied a DePauw single-game record for punt average (minimum 5 punts) after averaging 49.8 yards on his five punts. That tied the record set by Jack Drake against Rose-Hulman on Sept. 3, 2022. Each of Gomez's punts were 42 yards or longer with a long of 66 yards.

For the season, Gomez averages 43.4 yards per punt and has landed 12 of his 32 boots inside the opponents' 20-yard line. He has nine punts of 50 or more yards.

DePauw, ranked 10th in the latest coaches' poll and 15th by D3football.com, earned an at-large berth in the NCAA Division III Football Championship and opens play at Wisconsin-Whitewater on Nov. 29, at 12 p.m. CST.
