Greencastle, Ind. - In voting by the conference's coaches, six DePauw student-athletes have been selected to the all-North Coast Athletic Conference field hockey team.
Earning first team honors were forward
Hailey Nowak (Sr., Oak Park, Ill./Oak Park & River Forest) and midfielder
Maggie Volpe (Sr., Lake Forest, Ill./Lake Forest). Nowak, a first team selection all four years, led the Tigers with 19 goals, eight assists and 46 points. Volpe was a second team choice her first three years and scored two goals with six assists which ranked second on the team.
A pair of Tigers earned second team honors including forward
Ellie Lochhead (Sr. Louis, Mo./MICDS) and defender
Ella Morris (New Albany, Ohio/Columbus Academy). Lochhead was second on the squad with six goals and 17 points and third with five assists on the way to her first NCAC honor. Morris was a third team choice last year and finished this season with two goals and four assists.
Third team honors went to midfielder
Ella Harms (So., St. Louis, Mo./Kirkwood) and defender
Ella Mickey (Sr., Lake Bluff, Ill./Lake Forest).Harms scored a pair of goals and assisted on another, while Mickey scored two and had three assists. The NCAC recognition was the first for each of them.Â
DePauw finished the season with a 12-5 overall record and an 8-1 mark in NCAC games which was good for a tri-championship.
