Michael Vallone, Danny Glimco, Cameron Macon 2023 all-NCAC Baseball

Three Tigers Earn All-NCAC Baseball Accolades

Greencastle, Ind. - Three DePauw student-athletes have been selected all-North Coast Athletic Conference in baseball in voting by the conference's coaches.

Pitcher Michael Vallone (Jr., Lake Forest, Ill./Lake Forest) and pitcher/outfielder Danny Glimco (Jr., Western Springs, Ill./Benet Academy) were second team choices, while shortstop Cameron Macon (Jr., St. Louis, Mo./Kirkwood) was a third team choice.

Vallone, a first team selection in 2021 and 2022, recorded a 3-1 record in NCAC games with a 3.34 earned run average with one complete game. He recorded 40 strikeouts and walked just 11 in 32 1/3 innings with opposing hitters batting just .223 against him. Overall, he was 3-2 with a 4.19 ERA with opposing hitters batting just .253 against him.

Glimco was chosen as a utility player as he hit .250 in 16 conference games with four homers and 19 RBI along with 10 runs scored and a .554 slugging percentage. Overall, Glimco batted .229 with team highs of nine homers and 45 RBI. As a pitcher, he was 0-2 with a 7.84 earned run average in conference games and 2-3 overall with a 5.40 earned run average.

Macon, a second team choice in 2022, led the team in overall batting average at .324, in runs scored with 34 and with 11 stolen bases. He hit three homers and drove in 29 runs. In 16 conference games, he batted .305 with 10 runs, two homers and 13 RBI.
