Greencastle, Ind. - Coming off a weekend that included three homers and a pitching win,
Danny Glimco (Jr., Western Springs, Ill./Benet Academy) has been selected North Coast Athletic Conference Baseball Player of the Week.Â
In three games against Manchester, Glimco batted .357 (5-14) and slugged (1.143) with two doubles, three homers and eight runs batted in. He hit two, two-run homers in Saturday's 11-8 win and then drove in four again in yesterday's 10-8 victory including a two-run walk-off homer in the bottom of the ninth. Additionally, he retired the side in order in the top of the ninth with a pair of strikeouts to set up the game-ending heroics.
DePauw returns to action on Saturday, March 11, with games in Lexington, Ky., against Wisconsin-Oshkosh and Transylvania.Â
