Box Score Conway, Ark. - DePauw committed five errors and walked 17 Hendrix batters as the host Warriors topped the Tigers, 14-7. DePauw dropped to 3-3, while the Warriors improved to 12-0.
Hendrix took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first as Owen Shaw singled home Adam Bland before the Tigers took a 2-1 lead in the second on RBI singles from Kyle Boyer and Nick Nelson.
The lead was short-lived as Hendrix tied the game in the second and took the lead for good with six runs in the third. Evans Barnes delivered a run-scoring single in the fifth and Kyle Callahan added a two-run triple to cut Hendrix's lead to 8-5.
The Warriors extended the lead to 12-5 with one in the sixth and three in the seventh before DePauw countered with two in the eighth on Nelson's RBI ground out and Cameron Allen's RBI single.
Allen had three of DePauw's 12 hits, while Nelson added two. Rally Miller paced the Warriors with three of their 13 hits with Bland, Rail Gilliam and Tyler Webb each collecting two.
Joe Runnells dropped to 0-1, while David Blackburn improved to 3-0.
DePauw faces Hendrix in a Noon doubleheader tomorrow.
