Box Score Westfield, Ind. - Baldwin Wallace scored an unearned run in the bottom of the ninth and took a 9-8 win over DePauw at Grand Park. The Tigers dropped to 2-2, while the Yellow Jackets moved to 3-0.
DePauw jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first after Kyle Boyer was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded allowing Cameron Allen to score. Baldwin Wallace matched that in the bottom of the first and added another in the second for a 2-1 lead.
The Tigers took a 4-2 lead in the third as Cameron Macon doubled home Kyle Callahan and Nick Nelson knocked in Macon and Brian May with a two-bagger.
The Yellow Jackets struck with four in the bottom of the third to take a 6-4 lead.
Danny Sheehan's single in the fifth plated Macon, but Baldwin Wallace answered in the sixth with an RBI single. Boyer reached on an error in the seventh which allowed Callahan to score before the Yellow Jackets scored one in the bottom of the frame to make it 8-6.
DePauw knotted the score in the eighth as Callahan doubled home Allen and then scored on Macon's single.
Ryan Guggenheim singled to lead off the Baldwin Wallace ninth and moved to second on a sacrifice bunt. JT Mazula was intentionally walked before Sean Kolenich reached on a fielder's choice that forced Mazula at second but an error on the throw to first allowed Guggenheim to score the game-winning run.
Macon had three of DePauw's 12 hits, while Allen and Callahan added two each. Guggenheim had four of the Yellow Jackets' 15 hits with Vincent Capolupo, Alex Ludwick, Luke Vonderhaar and Chris Viamonte finishing with two each.
E.J White dropped to 0-2, while Drew Wilson improved to 1-0.
The Tigers take on Transyvlania tomorrow at Noon at Grand Park.
