Box Score Delaware, Ohio - DePauw jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first, but host Ohio Wesleyan scored in all six innings including 12 in the second on the way to a 27-12 win over the Tigers in a non-conference game. The Tigers dropped to 15-19, while Ohio Wesleyan improved to 7-22.
After the Tigers scored four in the first, Ohio Wesleyan cut the lead in half with a pair in the bottom of the frame and then put together a 12-run second on eight hits including three homers.
DePauw did come back with five in the third to trim the Battling Bishops' lead to 14-9, but the hosts scored two each in the third and fourth and three more in the fifth to seal the win.
The Tigers totaled eight hits with Charlie Patrick totaling three. Danny Sheehan led the Tigers with three RBI on a three-run homer in the sixth.
Ohio Wesleyan totaled 20 hits with Izaiah Withrow going 4-for-5 with nine RBI. Six other Bishops finished with two hits each.
AJ Waltermann dropped to 0-2, while Joey Watts moved to 2-0.
DePauw wraps up the season on Saturday, May 8, when it hosts WashU in a 1 p.m. doubleheader.
