Tigers Shutout Little Giants 2-0 on the Road

Crawfordsville, Ind.- The DePauw University men's soccer team close out its spring 2021 season with a 2-0 road victory over Wabash.

The Tigers opened the match with early back-to-back unassisted goals by Jack Herbst and Joel Thompkins.

Up two goals to none in the first half, DePauw held the Little Giants to just two shots on goal and kept Wabash at bay despite giving up three corners.

After halftime, Wabash came out looking to get back into the game, getting seven shots on goal to the Tigers five and tallying six corners. 

In the 76th minute of play, the Little Giants tried to capitalize on what would be its final corner of the match, but it was quickly collected by Evan Sajtar, keeping DePauw's shutout alive. 

The Tigers improved to 5-1-1 overall, and with its win over Wabash, completing a spring season sweep over the Little Giants.
