Box Score 2 Greencastle, Ind. - Cameron Macon delivered a two-run, walk-off double in the bottom of the ninth of game two to lift DePauw to a 12-11 win in over Concordia Chicago and a doubleheader sweep over the Cougars. The Tigers won the opener 4-2 and, with the wins, improved to 6-2, while Concordia dropped to 0-2.
In the nightcap, the Tigers battle back from deficits multiple times and trailed 9-8 in the seventh when Trey Shaw hit a two-run homer. After the Cougars regained the lead with two in the eighth, the Tigers opened the ninth with Kyle Callahan's single and Charlie Patrick's double. Macon then hammered the game-winning two-bagger to right center.
Shaw and Callahan each had two of DePauw's 13 hits, while Nick Nelson, Patrick and Macon collected two each. Brody Mariotti and Matthew Uba each had three of Concordia's 15 hits with Nathan Dewey and Aidan Donovan each adding two.
EJ White moved to 2-0 after notching four strikeouts in two innings of relief work, while Jack Rector dropped to 0-1.
In the opener, Concordia grabbed a 1-0 lead in the first as leadoff hitter Garry Maynard homered on the second pitch of the game. DePauw took the lead in the third after Danny Sheehan scored on a wild pitch and Shaw came home on Nelson's single. The Tigers sealed the win in the seventh after Macon doubled with the bases loaded, plating Callahan and Blane Cook.
Macon had three of DePauw's nine hits and Patrick had a pair. Bryce Vincent had two of the Cougars' seven hits.
Joe Runnells moved to 2-0 after going 6 2/3 innings and allowing one run and three hits while striking out six. Dylan Perrot collected his first save.
The two teams square off tomorrow in a Noon doubleheader.
