Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw scored seven runs in its final three at-bats and moved to 7-5 on the season with a 10-4 win over visiting Rose-Hulman in the Tigers' home opener. The Engineers dropped to 6-5.

The Engineers evened the score in the fourth as Logan Cody doubled home Conner Helbling and later scored on Ryan Stachowski's double. Josh Mesenbrink then followed with a single to center that scored Stachowski.

Rose-Hulman took its first lead of the game in the sixth when David Burnside hit a solo homer to right center.

DePauw regained the lead in the bottom of the sixth as Charlie Patrick reached on an error and moved to second when Callahan drew a walk. Nolan Lavender reached on an error that allowed Patrick to score. Callahan was thrown out at the plate as a throwing error on the relay to the infield permitted Lavender to reach third. Youngcourt delivered a double to right center that scored Lavender and gave the Tigers a 5-4 lead.
