Tigers Conclude Year with Pair of Losses

Crestview Hills, Ky. – DePauw finished their 2018 season on Sunday with a pair of losses to Thomas More, 5-4 (7 inn.) and 11-0 (5 inn.).

In game one, DePauw held a 3-0 lead heading into the fourth. Brayden White, Jackson Williams and Nolan Lavender each recorded RBIs.

Thomas More then rallied, scoring two in the fourth and three in the sixth. Joshua Boeckmann homered with the bases empty to make it a 5-3 game. It was an important insurance run as DePauw scored one in the top of the seventh off an RBI single from Lavender.

Jack Norton started and received the no decision. He gave up three runs, two earned. Aaron Miller took the loss. His inherited runner scored as he allowed two runs and recorded only two outs.

Game two was all Thomas More as the game finished in five innings after the Saints scored 11 runs on 14 hits. Jonathan Azar started and took the loss.

Charlie Patrick had two of DePauw's four hits. Noah Salasky and Austin Shirley had the other two.

DePauw ends the year at 11-26.
