Box Score Greencastle, Ind. – DePauw could only muster two hits on Thursday as 17th-ranked Franklin captured an 11-0 win (7 innings) in non-conference action.
Franklin improved to an impressive 29-2, while DePauw dropped to 6-23. Franklin starter Connor Morton allowed both hits, but his four innings of scoreless ball moved him to 6-0 on the season.
Jack Norton was slated with the loss as he gave up four runs, two earned, in two innings. Matt George closed with a 1-2-3 top of the seventh.
Franklin finished with 12 hits. After a scoreless first they tallied four in the second and three in the third. Another three in the fifth made it 10-0.
Charlie Patrick and Austin Shirley each went 1-for-3. Defensively, the Tigers committed three errors but turned three double plays.
DePauw will remain home through this weekend and will return to NCAC action Saturday with a noon doubleheader against Ohio Wesleyan where the team will also honor their seniors.
