Tigers Struggle to Produce in Non-Conference Game

Terre Haute, Ind. – After an 8-7 loss last week to Rose-Hulman, DePauw suffered another defeat to the Fightin' Engineers on Wednesday 10-1.

After two scoreless innings, Rose-Hulman scored in every inning after including a two-run third and a three-run fourth to make it a 5-0 game after four innings.

DePauw's lone run came in the ninth, which was an RBI single from Jackson Williams. The Tigers had just four hits in the game, half of which came in the final inning.

Williams, Brayden White, Collin Einertson and TJ Carney-DeBord each recorded a hit. Rose-Hulman tallied 16 hits all together.

Jonathan Azar (0-3) took the loss. He lasted four innings and gave up five earned runs. Rose-Hulman starter Chuck Alexa picked up the win in four innings.

DePauw drops to 6-22 overall, while Rose-Hulman moves to 13-20. DePauw will host No. 17 Franklin at 4 p.m. tomorrow, in a game that was originally scheduled for Tuesday.
