Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

Greenville, Ill. - Host Greenville came back against DePauw in the first game of a doubleheader to take a 6-4 win, but in the nightcap it was DePauw with a late rally in a 13-10 victory and a doubleheader split. DePauw is now 5-1, while Greenville is 2-4.

In the opener, Jack Thompson collected four hits including a pair of solo homers as DePauw built a 4-2 lead in the fifth. The Panthers, however, scored four in the sixth to grab the lead and eventually the win in the scheduled seven-inning game.

Thompson went 4-for-4, while Max Cohen added two of DePauw's seven hits. Adam Lamb, Shane Olmstead and Mike Hardin each had two of Greenville's nine hits.

Andrew Quinn suffered the loss and dropped to 1-1. Jonah Moore moved to 2-0, while Klaiton Wolff picked up his second save.

In the second game, The Tigers scored one in the first and two each in the second and third for a 5-1 lead, but Greenville scored two in the third, four in the fourth and three in the fifth for a 10-5 lead.

CJ Yoannou's three-run homer in the seventh trimmed the lead to 10-8 and his two-run single in the eighth evened the score. Elliot Shebek followed with a run-scoring single before Yoannou crossed on an error. Thompson's single brought home Shebek and made it 13-10.

Yoannou had four of DePauw's 17 hits and drove in five. Shebek added three hits, while Ryan Grippo, Mike Hammel and Joey Plesac each collected two.

Shane Olmstead had three of the Panthers' 10 hits, while Jesse Getz added two.

Tom Giella picked up his first win with three innings of relief. Wolff dropped to 0-1.

DePauw takes on Manchester on Saturday, March 11, in a doubleheader with Manchester at Noon at Bishop Chatard High School in Indianapolis.
