Chillicothe, Ohio - DePauw rallied from an early 2-0 deficit and scored three runs each in the third and sixth innings and stayed alive in the North Coast Athletic Conference Baseball Tournament with a 6-3 win over Wooster.

The 23rd-ranked Tigers improved to 33-11, while Wooster dropped to 25-16. The teams will square off at 4 p.m. today in the "if necessary" game which will determine the tournament champion and the conference's automatic qualifier to the NCAA Division III Championship.

Wooster took a 2-0 lead in the second as Johnathan Ray led off with a walk and Billy Farrow followed with a two-run homer.

DePauw countered in the third as Rob McPike led off with a double and Jason Cohen walked before Alex Wright hit a two-run double to left center. Wright later scored on Brendon Pashia's single to give DePauw a 3-2 lead.

The Tigers extended the lead to 6-2 in the sixth as Pat Lyons and Zach Starr singled before Zach Galyean scored both with a double. Galyean came home on Cohen's RBI single through the left side.

Wooster's final run came in the sixth as Eddie Reese led off with a walk and later scored on Cal Thomay's single. The Fighting Scots loaded the bases before Jack Peck took the mound in relief of Michael Chiaro. Wooster's John McClain hit a grounder to McPike who threw to Sam Swafford for the force at the plate. Swafford threw back to McPike to complete the double play and end the inning.

Peck retired all 10 batters he faced including six on strikeouts to preserve the win.

DePauw totaled 14 hits as every player in the lineup had at least one. Starr led the way with three with Galyean, McPike and Lyons each totaling two. Four different Wooster players collected one hit each.

Michael Chiaro improved to 4-2 with the win, while Keenan White dropped to 0-2. Peck picked up his first save which was the Tigers' 11th of the season and a school record. The Tigers also collected four doubles on the game to raise their season total to a school-record 97.
