April 23, 2009, Greencastle, Ind. — The 20-14 Tigers, winners of five of their last six games, open the 2009 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Baseball Championship this afternoon with a Noon CDT start against Hendrix.

The Tigers earned the top seed from the SCAC's East Division with a 10-5 conference mark. The 18-21 Warriors were the third seed from the West Division with a 10-10 conference mark.

The game is the first of the six-team double elimination tournament. If the Tigers win today's game, they play on Friday at 3:30 p.m. CDT against the loser of tonight's Millsaps-Centre game. Should DePauw lose, it would play at Noon CDT tomorrow against the loser of today's Trinity-Rhodes contest.
