Box Score 2 March 4, 2007, Danville, Ky. - DePauw split a doubleheader with Elmhurst by dropping the first game by a 9-8 score and winning the nightcap, 9-8. The Tigers are 1-5 after the split, while the Bluejays are 1-1.
The Tigers took a 4-1 lead in the opener, but Elmhurst scored seven in the top of the fourth on the way to the win. DePauw banged out 13 hits led by Mike Stout's four and Adam Ford's three. Chris Newman added two hits including a leadoff homer in the seventh. Paul Rodenhouse dropped to 0-2 with the loss.
In the nightcap, Jeremy Dickinson's bases loaded single in the bottom of the tenth brought home Kyle Thompson with the game-winner.
Dickinson and Ford each collected two of the Tigers' seven hits. Derek Bryant improved to 1-0 with two innings of scoreless relief.
