Box Score 2 March 10, 2007, Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw improved to 3-5 on the season following a doubleheader sweep of visiting Hanover by identicial scores of 5-4. Hanover dropped to 5-5 with the losses.
DePauw held a 4-0 lead in the first with single runs in the first and second innings and two in the sixth, but the Panthers rallied for four in the seventh. The Tigers plated an unearned run in the bottom of the seventh for the win.
The Tigers totaled nine hits with Chris Newman and Mike Stout each finishing with two. Hanover finished with 10 hits as Kyle Barnett led the way with four and Chris Gerth added a pair.
Paul Rodenhouse improved to 1-2 with 2/3 innings of scoreless relief. Jeremy Alland struck out nine and walked just one in 6 1/3 innings for the Tigers. Jim Peck dropped to 1-1 with the relief loss.
In the nightcap, Adam Ford delivered a two-out single that scored Dickinson with the game-winner in the bottom of the seventh. DePauw totaled seven hits led by Stout and Ford with two each. Stout drove in three and Ford finished with two RBI. Hanover finished with six hits as Gerth led the way with a pair.
Tim Baldwin improved to 1-1 with five innnings of relief work while Barnett slipped to 1-2 with the complete game loss.
DePauw hosts Manchester on Sunday.
