Box Score March 30, 2006, LaGrange, Ga. - The Tigers dropped to 9-11 on the season following an 8-1 loss at 19th-ranked LaGrange. The Panthers improved to 20-4.
LaGrange quickly jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first before adding one in the third, two in the fourth and three in the fifth.
DePauw's lone run came in the eighth when Kyle Dobbs led off with a walk and advanced to second after Jesse Groh was hit by a pitch. Chris Newman singled, scoring Dobbs.
DePauw totaled just five hits with Newman leading the way with three. LaGrange finished with 12 hits as Seth Tucker, Patrick Langley, Brandon Mahoney and Oki Teo each had two.
Jeremy Dockins improved to 4-1 after allowing just two hits in six innings. Kerry Frost dropped to 0-1 after starting and pitching four innings. The Tigers totaled eight errors in the loss.
DePauw returns to Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play on Friday when it travels to Oglethorpe for the first of a four-game series.
