Virginia Beach, Va.- DePauw and Virginia Wesleyan battled through a scoreless 90 minutes of regulation and two 10-minute overtime periods on a foggy Foster Field in their NCAA Division III quarterfinal match, but DePauw advanced to the national semfinals when goalkeeper Ali Glibkowski buried the Tigers' fifth and clinching penalty kick. The Tigers nailed all five of their penalty kicks, while the Blue Marlins connected on three.

In the round of five penalty kicks, Corinne Scott and Kim Schreiner nailed their kicks, while Virginia Wesleyan made its first and missed its second over the cross bar. Jocelyn Keller gave the Tigers a 3-1 advantange before the Blue Marlins cut the Tigers' lead to 3-2. Emily Hakeman made it 4-2, but Virginia Wesleyan cut the Tigers' margin to 4-3 before Glibkowski stepped up to put the game away.

The Blue Marlins outshot the Tigers 20-11, but DePauw held a 3-2 advantage in the two overtime periods. Virginia Wesleyan held a 4-1 advantage in corner kicks. Glibkowski recorded eight saves for the Tigers, while Laura Wiederwax had four for the Blue Marlins.

The Tigers (15-4-1) take on the University of Chicago (16-1-4) on Saturday, November 29 at Oneonta State in Oneonta, New York. The College of New Jersey (18-4) takes on Oneonta State (19-1-3) in the other semifinal. Game times will be determined on Monday.
