Terre Haute, Ind. - DePauw women's soccer fell 2-0 to Rose-Hulman, Wednesday night.
The Fighting Engineers set the tone early, recording their first goal at 4:53. Tigers freshman Aryana Ali made DePauw's first shot on goal minutes later.
DePauw held them going into halftime, but were quickly shut down with another goal by Rose-Hulman at 45:28.
Tigers held the Fighting Engineers defensively, ending the game with a 2-0 loss.
DePauw held an edge while maintaining possession in the attacking direction 24% in the scoring quadrant, but was edged in overall possession 46%.
Rose-Hulman outshot DePauw 9-8, but both teams tallied five on goal. Senior goalkeeper Aubree Empie made two saves in goal for the Tigers.
Freshman Joie Carpenter and Aryana Ali led the team offensively, tallying two shots on goal each. Senior Sophia Patrey made one shot on goal.
DePauw will look to regroup as they head into Saturday's senior day matchup at home in Greencastle against Wilmington at 5:00 p.m.
