Mesquon, Wis. - DePauw field hockey defeated Concordia Wisconsin Sunday afternoon 3-1.

The Falcons claimed the first shot on goal at 2:14, saved by freshman goalkeeper Colby Durbin, but the Tigers made it onto the scoreboard first when sophomore Rosie Ondrla fed senior Anna Marks a shot from outside the circle to score the first goal of the game at 6:18, following a penalty corner taken by sophomore forward Hannah Zaiser. 

Tigers maintained a 1-0 lead until the third period when junior forward Sophie Flynn delivered the second goal of the night, assisted by sophomore forward Ava Gallagher at 31:47. The two capitalized on a scramble in front of the cage. 

Concordia fought back minutes later, cutting the Tigers lead to 2-1 with their first and only goal of the game.

To close out the game for DePauw, junior defender Helen Harpenau passed the ball to junior forward Ellie Lochhead who took a long shot from far outside the circle to tally the Tigers final goal of the evening, extending the lead to 3-1. 

Heading into the fourth period with a two goal lead, DePauw made a goalie change putting in sophomore Tea Jerro to relieve Durbin who tallied three saves in goal. Jerro faced no shots on goal in the final 15 minutes. 

Tigers Ella Harms, Flynn, and Zaiser each tallied two shots on goal each while Lochead, Marks, and Gallagher all tallied one. 

Senior Anna Marks was given a green card at 48:35. 

DePauw outshot Concordia 11-5, 9-4 on goal. Tigers edged Falcons 4-2 in penalty corners. 

With the win, DePauw moves to 3-1 overall, while Concordia (Wis.) drops to 2-3. The Tigers will return to action, Saturday, September 19th on the road in Cleveland, Ohio to take on John Carroll in a North Coast Athletics Conference match up at 12 p.m.
