Cleveland, Ohio - John Carroll closed the first half on an 7-1 run on the way to a 18-4 win over DePauw. The visiting Tigers dropped to 4-7, while John Carroll improved to 6-3.
Tigers scored first, just 1:34 into the contest with Kaitlyn Bach connecting with Kai Coffee. John Carroll retaliated with a nine goal run to flip the score in favor of the Blue Streaks, 9-1.Â
Kai Coffee tallied two in a row, connecting with Meredith Buti and Kate Leone to cut the lead 9-3 in the second quarter.Â
The Blue Streaks came back with two more goals before halftime.Â
Heading into the second half down 11-3 the Tigers launched one more, delivered by Kai Coffee at 8:20 in the third quarter before the Blue Streaks went on a 7-1 run to win the game.Â
Coffee delivered three of the four goals driven in by the Tigers, with Freshman Kaitlyn Bach tallying the first assisted by Coffee. Buti and Leone each tallied one assist.Â
Niamh Callahan recorded 16 saves in goal for DePauw.
John Carroll edged DePauw 43-11 in shots, 30-4 in shots on goal. The Blue Streaks led in ground backs, 28-16. DePauw totaled 23 turnovers to John Carroll's 12.
DePauw will travel to Wittenberg on Tuesday, April 7th for a North Coast Athletic Conference match up starting at 6:00 p.m.
