Terre Haute, Ind. - DePauw totaled just two hits and Rose-Hulman scored twice in the bottom of the seventh for a 2-0 win over the Tigers. The Tigers dropped to 13-8 on the season, while the Fightin' Engineers improved to 10-9.
Rose-Hulman's Jackson Summers led off the seventh with a single and moved to second on Michael Hines' sacrifice bunt. Connor O'Connell reached on an error that allowed Hines to move to third. After Jackson Harms was hit by a pitch to load the bases, TJ Pipkins delivered a two-run single for the game's only runs.
Louis Florida had a double for the Tigers with
Grady Johnson adding a single. The Tigers weren't able to take advantage of six Rose-Hulman walks as the Fightin' Engineers turned three double plays.
Five different Rose-Huilman players collected one hit apiece and the Tigers also turned three double plays.
Nate Tencza took the loss after going 6 1/3 innings, while Tyler Orr improved to 2-2. Summers earned his first save.
DePauw travels to Wooster on Saturday for a Noon North Coast Athletic Conference doubleheader.
