Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw returned home to host ninth-ranked WashU and the Bears topped the Tigers by a 5-2 score. The Tigers dropped to 9-7, while WashU improved to 8-4.
WashU earned the doubles point with wins at the second and third spots. DePauw's number-one duo of
Finley Buelte and
William Cramer were 7-6 (7-4) winners over Colin Fox and Jeremy Sieben.
In singles play, DePauw's two points came at the first and second spots as Buelte defeated Colin Scruggs by a 6-4, 2-6, 6-4 score and
Scott Anderson was a 6-3, 6-7 (5-7), 6-3 victor over Sieben.
DePauw returns to action on Fri., Apr. 3, when it travels to Wabash for a 4:30 p.m. North Coast Athletic Conference match.
