Danville, Ky. - DePauw opened its spring break trip with a split of two matches as the Tigers lost to 21st-ranked Sewanee by a 7-0 score and came back to top Centre, 4-3.  Â
While the Tigers were blanked by Sewanee, they did extend three singles matches to a third set.Â
In the Centre win, DePauw won the doubles point asÂ
Paul Castleman and
Will Hutchinson defeated Ben Rueff and Jack Gessner at the second spot by a 6-1 score and the third tandem of
Scott Anderson and
Wils Warren topped William Howell and Isaac Flanery, 6-1.
The Tigers won the match by winning three of the six singles flights. Anderson was a 7-6 (8-6), 6-1 winner over Dylan Dethridge at the second position as was Castleman with a 6-3, 6-3, victory over Rueff at number three. Hutchinson won by a 6-4, 7-5 score over Gessner at fifth singles.
DePauw faces Augustana and Lawrence on Tues., March 24, on Hilton Head Island.
