Chagrin Falls, Ohio - DePauw moved to 5-4 overall and 1-1 in the North Coast Athletic Conference following a 7-0 win over John Carroll. The Blue Streaks dropped to 4-3 overall and 0-2 in the conference.
The Tigers won the doubles point after sweeping all three matches.
Finley Buelte and
William Cramer were 6-4 winners over Jean Davin and Anthony Markello at the first spot while
Will Hutchinson and
Paul Castleman were 6-0 winners over Phillip Gorun and Nathan Tam at number two. The third tandem of
Thomas Hargreave and
Scott Anderson topped Dylan Murlin and Cavan Boutillette 6-0.
Buelte rallied for a three-set win over Davin at number-one singles by a 2-6, 7-6, 6-3 score with Anderson winning the number-two match 6-1, 6-1 over Markello. Castleman was victorious at third singles by a 6-1, 6-0 count over Gorun with Vikto Ronnberg winning over Tam by a 6-2, 6-2 score at the fourth spot.
Hargreave topped Murlin 6-1, 6-1 at fifth singles and
Filippo Fassone blanked Boutillette at sixth singles 6-0, 6-0.
The Tigers retun to action on Sunday, March 22, with a 10 a.m. match against Sewanee to be played at Centre. DePauw then takes on Centre at 2 p.m.
