Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

DePauw Walks Away from Franklin 2-0

Greencastle, IN – DePauw's women's soccer (2-0-0) took to Reavis on Wednesday evening, earning a 2-0 victory over Frankling (0-2-0) behind electric tallied from Sophia Grueninger and Macy Happe in the second half. 

Macy Happe led the Tigers with four shots on the night with Emmy Streeter following up with three on goal. 

In the first few minutes, DePauw put on the offensive pressure claiming the first shot of the game 35 seconds into play. The first half remained scoreless for both teams, but the Tigers edged the Grizzlies in shots 8-2 and corner 2-1. 

The Tigers struck first in the second half, with two consecutive corner kicks Mia Kubek jumped to move the ball towards the net for Sophia Grueninger to put away in the back of the net with another header. 

Later in the game, DePauw capitalized on another corner kick to tally an insurance goal with 16 lefts in regulation. Molly Heller kicked off from the corner for Macy Happe to leap and excute a clean header into the net for the Tigers' second goal of the evening.

Grueninger and Happe recorded their first goals of the 2025 season. 

Aubrey Empie made two saves in goal for the Tigers in the first half of the game. 
 
The Tigers will stay home, hosting Centre College on Sunday, September 7 at 2 p.m.
