Greencastle, Ind. - Becky Williams (Sr., Zionsville, Ind./University High School of Indiana) has been selected North Coast Athletic Conference Women's Golf Athlete of the Week for her performance at the Illinois Wesleyan Fall Classic.

Williams finished first among 121 golfers and won the tournament by five strokes over teammate Daisy Williams after shooting a five-under, 139. She shot even-par 72 in the first round before firing a five-under, 67, in the second and final round.

Williams led the tournament with 15 birdies and in the final round carded nine birdies over the final 13 holes Over the final nine holes of the tournament, Williams shot a seven-under 29 with seven birdies.

The tournament win was her second of the season and fifth straight regular season victory. It also extended her DePauw record to 11 tournament wins.

This marks the 10th time that Williams has been recognized by the NCAC as Athlete of the Week.

DePauw returns to action Oct. 6-7 at the Tartan Invitational hosted by Caregie Mellon in Farmington, Pa.
