Becky Williams Selected as Amy Hasbrook Award Recipient

Greencastle, Ind. - Becky Williams (Zionsville, Ind./University High School of Indiana) a 2026 graduate and a member of the DePauw women's golf team, has been selected as the 2026 Amy Hasbrook Award recipient, which recognizes the top senior student-athlete competing on a DePauw women's team. Williams is also DePauw's nominee for the North Coast Athletic Conference's Pam Smith Award.

The Hasbrook Award is presented annually to a senior student-athlete from a women's sport who best exemplifies effort and excellence in academics, athletics, leadership, integrity, dedication to the team, campus involvement, and community service.

A three-time all-America honoree, Williams earned second team honors this year and in 2024 while collecting first team accolades in 2025. She finished 36th at the 2026 NCAA Division III Golf Championships and tied for 11th in 2024. Her 299 score at the 2024 Championships was the best in program history by a DePauw women's player at the national tournament.

Williams' career 73.76 stroke average broke the DePauw program record as did her 14 career tournament wins. She was the North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Year each of her three years at DePauw and earned medalist honors at the conference tournament in 2024 and 2025 after taking the top spot in the Ohio Athletic Conference in 2023 as a member of Otterbein's team.

Williams is a three-time all-NCAC performer who set DePauw's program record for stroke average in a season at 72.84 in 2025. She holds three of the top four DePauw single-season averages. Williams was bestowed NCAC Athlete of the Week honors 14 times in her career.

A kinesiology major, Williams graduated summa cum laude and was a Chi Alpha Sigma honor society inductee. In 2025, she earned Academic All-America® Women's At-Large as selected by CSC (College Sports Communicators) honors for NCAA Division III.

Williams served on DePauw's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee as well as the Diverse Athletes Association. A participant in the NCAA Career in Sports Forum in 2026, Williams was an assistant vice president for Alpha Chi Omega sorority.

Other finalists for this year's Hasbrook Award included Hanna Coffel (softball), Riley Mont (women's basketball), Grace Myers (volleyball), Hailey Nowak (field hockey) and Caroline Stowe (women's swimming and diving).

Robby Ballentine of the football team was named recipient of the Phil Eskew Award as the top senior student-athlete from a men's sport. Complete information on that is available here.

The awards are named for former DePauw student-athletes Amy Hasbrook '00 and Phil Eskew Jr. '63. Hasbrook was a four-year letterwinner for the women's basketball team and a 2019 DePauw Athletics Hall of Fame inductee who lost her life in a fire in 2002. Eskew, the president of DePauw's "D" Association for over 20 years, was a 1994 inductee into the DePauw Athletics Hall of Fame and was instrumental in its formation in 1986.
