Granville, Ohio - DePauw's Rosalie Tasker netted the first goal of the game to give the Tigers a lead for the first five minutes before falling to Denison's regionally ranked offensive. Denison dominated 20-7, extending their undefeated streak in conference play to 3-0 while the Tigers dropped to 2-2.
Rosalie Tasker recorded a hat trick while Kate Leone and Kate Sullivan netted two goals each. Bridget Driscoll tallied the only assist of the game with a free position attempt.
Tasker scored her first goal of the evening, at the beginning of the first before Denison went on a three goal run to make the score 3-1. Kate Leone responded by netting a ball with 2:17 remaining in the first to cut the Big Red's lead to 3-2 going into the second.
The first period proved to be the Tigers best period, while the Big Red came in hot with seven goals in the second period. Tasker paced DePauw, finding the back of the net twice in the second to carry the Tigers to halftime trailing 12-4.
Tasker secured her sixth hat trick of the season before the end of the second. With tonight's performance, Tasker joins the record board for goals in a single-season (35) and points (54). Two goals remain in regular season play.
Denison kicked off the second half with three goals, before Leone crossed the arc to charge the circle, evading a defender to tally her second goal of the game and the Tigers' only goal of the third period.
The Big Red retaliated with another three goals to lengthen their lead to 13.
Kate Sullivan led the Tigers offensively in the fourth, counter attacking with two goals in the last 10-minutes of regulation. Sullivan spun around a defender to tally the first and broke down another to earn her second of the night.
Denison's Anna DeVuono led the team with six points (4g, 2a) with Sydney Lavin trailing offensively with three goals.
Denison out shot DePauw, 44-26, and led in ground balls, 20-12. The Big Red's committed 13 turnovers to the Tigers' 18.
The Tigers return to action for Senior Day when they host Ohio Wesleyan, Saturday, April 19th at 2:30 p.m.
